My wife saw one of these on the internet and also at my friends house. She really caught the fever for one. She put her mind to making one for herself. Her intent was to just make a static display. Our haunts are outside so I figured the wind would be plenty of movement to get a good effect.....and it was.
I had some free time one night so I quickly built a crank mechanism for the ghost. It only took about 3 hours to build a "working" crank. I hooked it up and called for my wife to come out to the garage and see it. The combination of an excellent ghost and a simple crank made for an extravagant prop this year. I put about 3 more hours into finishing the crank.
