By utilizing these styrofoam blocks I made a fairly realistic stone entry for my cemetery. I simply took the blocks and glued them together with a reinforcement rod through the middle. After that I rounded the edges and "exaggerated" the seams to make it look like grout lines and added some fake cracks with my Dremel motor tool. A gallon of gray paint later and we were in the stone making business. The blocks were free and the paint cost $15. We added flame pots to the sides and a sign on top. Grand total was about $35. CHA...CHING!!!! |
| There's nothing new to my fence. I ripped some wood for the top and bottom bar. Mine is too thin. This wood needs to be 3/4" to 1" thick. We drilled a bunch of holes for the spindles and inserted 1/2" PVC pipe. I also used 1 1/2" PVC for the posts with caps. Once done I painted the whole thing black. |

The key
to this project was to make a jig for everything. This makes the
process go faster and the final product is much more consistent. I
have a total of (14) 8'-0" fence sections with posts. The cost
for the whole thing was about $75. Including paint.
And this is a lot of fencing.

| The
mistake too many people make is they crawl away to the garage or shed and
alienate their families for a month or so before Halloween.
I made it a policy this year to have my whole family involved. This is my father-in-law Kenny.
